About the Printing Process
These limited edition series are giclée printed onto high quality artist's canvas. The technology renders via eight color ink jet technology at a resolution of 1200 dots per inch (DPI).
Prints are created using highly stable permanent inks, with an expected archival lifespan of at least 30 years. External drum imaging technology is used to maintain precise positioning of the substrate during imaging.
After printing the canvas prints are then pneumatically stretched onto high quality custom milled wood framing. The result is a digital art reproduction that rivals the visceral nature of a conventional
oil painting. Prints are delivered stretched without additional framing. The appearance of these pieces as hung on a wall has a striking effect unframed since the canvas framing itself has a thickness of 1 1/2". Frame edges are black or carry the colors of the artwork around the side.
Each work of art is a unique digital image created by Bill Kreutzmann. They are released in limited editions of 350 Giclée prints hand signed by the artist and numbered in the lower left hand corner as follows:
- 200 prints in the U.S. Series, numbered 1/200 to 200/200
- 100 in the International Series in Roman Numerals, I/C to C/C
- 50 hand signed Artists Proofs
Buyers of artworks will recieve the next available number in the series, which will be shipped to them in 2 to 4 weeks along with a certificate of authenticty.
